PSC Baseball stayed in it until the end, but Coastal Alabama - South pulled away late in a 2-1 victory on Monday. The game was tied at one in the top of the seventh when a sac fly scored the go-ahead run for Coastal Alabama - South.The pitching was strong on both sides. Coastal Alabama - South pitchers struck out seven, while PSC sat down nine.

The Pirates got things moving in the first inning, when Griffin Rivers singled on a 1-0 count, scoring James Parris from third base. In the top of the fifth inning, Coastal Alabama - South tied things up at one. The Sunchiefs scored on a errant throw that allowed the runner from third to score. 

DJ Wilkinson started the game for the Pirates. He lasted five innings, allowing two hits and one run while striking out six and walking zero. Louis Davenport threw four innings out of the bullpen.Bucky McGlamry, Josh Rulli, Griffin Rivers, Graham Dvorak, and James Parris each managed one hit for PSC. The Pirates fall to 1-4 on the year.
