PSC Sweeps Series With Delgado With 12-6 Victory

Pensacola snagged a late lead and defeated Delgado Community College 12-6 on Sunday. In the top of the sixth with Delgado leading 6-4, PSC sent 10 hitters to the plate resulting in 6 runs. The big blow came on a bases loaded double from designated hitter Josh Rulli resulting in 2 runs and a 9-6 Pirates lead. The very next batter, Jake Nemith, singled to left to tack on one more run. PSC would add 2 more in the top of the seventh to put the game out of reach and cruise to a 12-6 final. 

Louis Davenport was credited with the victory for Pensacola. He surrendered zero runs on one hit over five innings, striking out eight.

Jake Nemith led Pensacola State with two hits in four at bats with 4RBI's and a triple.

The Pirates are .500 (7-7) for the first time all year. PSC will travel to Poplarville, MS to take on Pearl River on Wednesday at 1:00pm
