- Pensacola State cruised to an easy victory over Northwest Florida State College Raiders Varsity 11-1 on Thursday.
- Pensacola State College Pirates fired up the offense in the first inning. Wilfredo Alvarez singled on a 2-0 count, scoring Fausto Lopez from second. Ryan Brewer would drive in two with a single to right to give PSC a 4-0 lead after one.
- Pensacola State scored four more runs in the third inning. The big inning was thanks to a single by Fausto Lopez and a bases clearing double by Bucky McGlamry.
- DJ Wilkinson earned the victory on the mound for the Pirates. He went five innings, allowing one run on three hits and striking out seven. Wilkinson is now 7-0 on the year for the Pirates.
- Thomas Farr took the loss for Northwest Florida State. He surrendered eight runs on eight hits over two and two-thirds innings, striking out one.
- Pensacola State College Pirates collected 11 hits. Josh Rulli, Richard Sorrenti, and Ryan Brewer each collected multiple hits for Pensacola State College Pirates.
The Pirates finish the series with Northwest Florida Saturday at 1:00 in Niceville, FL.
