Chad Bryant was drafted by the Oakland A's in the 36th Round of the 2018 MLB Draft. The hard throwing right- hander struck out 46 opposing batters in 47 innings pitched this year for PSC. Chad is the 4th Pirate baseball player to be drafted in the last 3 years joining outfielder Armond Upshaw (11th Round 2016 Washington Nationals),  RHP Malik Jones (23rd Round 2017 Oakland A's) and RHP Hunter Kiel (18th Round 2017 Chicago White Sox).
