Pensacola State Baseball (13-12) splits a double header Saturday versus Enterprise losing 8-1 and winning 5-0.
Pensacola State had a tough time generating runs in game 1 Saturday. The Pirates would tie the game at 1 apiece in the second inning on a Fausto Lopez 2 out double, scoring Logan Blackmon from first. The Pirates only managed 4 hits in the game. DJ Wilkinson would take the loss for Pensacola allowing two runs over three innings while striking out three.
PSC defeated Enterprise 5-0 in Game 2, as two pitchers teamed up to throw a no-hitter. Chad Bryant would get the start and blank the Boll Weevils for 4 innings, allowing zero runs and strike out 4. He would turn the ball over to Tyson Ellis who would finish off the no-hitter by striking out 8 in three innings of work. Pensacola would get the offense going with 2 runs in the third inning and 3 in the fourth. Fausto Lopez would drive in three runs with two hits, including a double.
