Pirates Drop 2 Games vs Chipola

Pensacola State College Baseball drops two games versus two-time defending National Champion Chipola on Saturday. 

Pensacola(14-17, 1-6) fell 5-2 in Game 1 to Chipola despite out-hitting the Indians five to four. Chad Bryant(2-2) toed the rubber for Pensacola and went six innings while surrendering 5 runs on four hits. The Pirates had opportunities to get back into the game but couldn't manage to come up with the big hit. 

In Game 2 Saturday, the Pirates would jump out to an early 2-0 lead. The Indians would take advantage of some Pirate miscues in the third inning by putting 8 runs on the board and cruise to a 9-2 victory. 

With the loss Pensacola moves to 1-6 in conference play and will travel over to Marianna on Tuesday to finish off the series with the Indians at 5:00pm.
