With the signing of Florentine Diouf, Coach Pena has concluded his '17-'18 recruiting class. "I am excited about our recruiting class. We have mixed in great size with athleticism and shooting ability. I think our fans will fall in love with the players they are and the people they are" said Coach Pena. Joining Vent in this years class is Jason Scott, Matt Johnson Florentine Diouf, Carlos Rosario, and Yeikson Montero.

            Jason Scott comes to Pensacola via Austin HS in Decatur, AL. The 5'7 point guard is an extremely quick point guard that brings a competitive spirit and a team-first attitude. Matt Johnson is a 6'5 shooting guard from Baltimore, MD. His length paired with his shooting ability will give the Pirates a boost. Florentine Diouf spent his prep career at Florida Prep. The 6'9 forward will be a shot blocking presence with an extremely high motor. Carlos Rosario and Yeikson Montero are from the Dominican Republic. They have been teammates and good friends for years prior to their arrival in Pensacola. Montero is a skilled, 6'5 guard who will give the Pirates added length on the perimeter and an extremely accurate 3-point shooter. Rosario is a 6'8 stretch forward. His competitive spirit and high motor will be a spark for the pirates.
