PSC Basketball Loses Two on Weekend

The PSC Men's Basketball Team dropped a pair of games against two high profile programs down in Ft. Myers, Florida over the weekend. 

On Friday night, PSC played the host, Florida Southwestern,  and opened the game on a 11-3 run. The Pirates took the lead into halftime 36-32 but in the second half FSW took control of the game going on to beat PSC 75-64. PSC was led by Daryl Lewis who scored 18 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. Freshmen Yeikson Montero (14pts and 5reb) and Carlos Rosario (10pts and 7reb) helped PSC keep the game close. 

On Saturady night, PSC took on Broward College and never really took control of the game from after the first minute. PSC cut the lead to one several times in the second half, but could not grab the momentum. PSC was led by Willesley Butler who had 11 points and 10 rebounds, his first double/double of the year. Gerald Williams had 12 points and 8 rebounds and Matt Johnson added 16 points. 

 

PSC is back in action Friday as the Pirates take on Strength in Motion at 7:00pm here at Hartsell Arena.
