PSC Takes Down Bevill 82-48. Wins Both Games on Weekend

Pensacola State College defeated Beville 82-48 in Hartsell Arena on Nov. 18 thanks to a well balanced offensive attack from the Pirates.

Daryl Lewis, Mike McDougal, Willesley Butler and Carlos Rosario all scored over 12 points on Saturday. Butler led the way with 19 points and also displayed some aggressive rebounding on both sides of the court, as he notched seven rebounds in addition to the team high in points.

Rosario came off of the bench and added quite the spark for the Pirates as he not only led the bench in scoring, but led the entire team in rebounding. Rosario finished the game with a total of 12 points and nine rebounds.

Lewis's 16 points and McDougal's 14 points rounded out an offensive attack from the Pirates that hit from all sides.

Although the offense was close to unstoppable, PSC's defense played just as well.

Beville did have two players reach double digits (Josh Juddine with 15 points and Stephen Campbell with 13 points) but outside of that they got nothing going.

PSC held Beville to only 18 points that weren't scored by Juddine or Campbell. And even with Juddine's team high 15 points, the Pirates forced eight turnovers from him.

With this big win, PSC improves its win-streak to two games and their overall record to 2-4. PSC looks to continue their bounce back against Coastal Alabama on Nov. 21 and Trinity Valley Community College on Nov. 24. If the Pirates can pull out two more straight victories, they will even up their record at 4-4 and will be in a great position to extend that run and to start building some momentum for January's conference play.
