PSC Falls Late to Gulf Coast 59-57

Pensacola State (11-8, 0-2) took an 8 point lead in to the half but went cold from the field in the second half losing to Gulf Coast 59-57. Gulf Coast led 57-47 with 2:29 left in the game. A 3-pointer by Mike McDougal and 5 unanswered by Daryl Lewis cut the lead to 1 with 7 seconds left. A charge called against Gerald Williams turned the ball and Gulf Coast made both free throws to make it a 3 point game with 5 seconds to go. PSC had a last chance effort to tie the game as Mike mcDougal was fouled on a three point attempt but missed two of the three free throws. 

The Pirates were led offensively by Yeikson Montero who had 17 points and Daryl Lewis chipped in with 13 points. 

PSC plays at home Wednesday at 7:30 vs. Chipola.
