PSC Takes Down TCC on Gerald Williams Buzzer Beater.

Pensacola State (15-10, 4-4) pulled out a barn burner at the buzzer to beat Tallahassee CC (15-9, 2-6).  PSC led 42-37 at the half.  TCC's Leon Freeman hit six of seven threes and Trevor Lewis added 4 of 8 more to score 30 of 37 first half points.  TCC kept it close and took the lead late in the second half.  Tallahassee led 80-75 with 14.5 seconds to go.  Gerald Williams came down the court and hit a three with 9 seconds left to make it 80-78 TCC. Williams fouled Trevor Lewis with 5.7 seconds left.  The TCC guard missed both free throws.  Gerald Williams took the rebound and went the length of the court and put up a three that bounced on the rim and fell through as the buzzer sounded.

 

TCC was led by Leon Freeman with 28 points. Trevor Lewis and JaQuan Morris added 16 apiece and Javien Williams had 12.

 

The Pirates were led by Gerald Williams with 22 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals.  Willesley Butler Had 17 points and 5 rebounds.  Yiekson Montero added 13 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists and 3 steals.

 

The Pirates take on Northwest Forida at home on Saturday, Feb. 10.
