PSC Falls to Chipola Finishes Third in Panhandle Standings

In a showdown for second place in the Panhandle Conference, Chipola College eliminated Pensacola State from a possible birth in the State/Region8 tournament 66-61.  Down 36-24 at the half, the Pirates made a run to within 3 points (62-59) with one minute left in the game.  Chipola hit its free throws down the stretch to finish the game.  Chipola was 18/23 FT's for the game.  PSC was 7/16.  In a physical and somewhat sloppy game both teams turned the ball over at total 44 times (CC 19 & PSC 25).

The Pirates were led by Willesley Butler with 18 pts and 8 rebounds.  Gerald Williams added 11 pts., 7 rebounds, 5 assists and a steal.

Chipola had four players in double digits, led by Shamarkus Kennedy with 17 points, CJ Williamson with 16, TJ Howard with 11 and Keshawn Brewton added 10.

PSC will travel over to take on Tallahassee CC  this Saturday at 6:30pm for the final game of the season.
