The Lady Pirate basketball team traveled to Marianna, Florida this past weekend for the Chipola Classic. On Friday they faced Daytona State and defeated them 70-62. Naterria Luster led the way for PSC as she scored 13 points and grabbed nine rebounds. Nia Johnson contributed 10 points and five assists while Tyana Porter pulled down 10 rebounds. Sade Mobley and Ahyiona Vason both recorded four steals in the game.

The Lady Pirates carried their momentum into Saturday and topped no. 19 ranked Florida Southwestern 69-57. Four Lady Pirates scored in double-figures led by Ahyiona Vason with 14 points, Naterria Luster & Kaloni Pryear added 11 each and Mylashia Yancey had 10. Luster was also a leading rebounder as she and Aminat Jubril both grabbed eight in the game. 

PSC will return to action on November 17 when they travel to Niceville for the Northwest Florida Classic. They will face Parkland College on Friday and College of Central Florida on Saturday.
