The Lady Pirates gave no. eight Tallahassee (TCC) everything they could handle on Saturday, but came up just short and fell 71-69. 

It was imperative that TCC win Saturday's game so they could force a playoff with Northwest Florida for the final state tournament bid. The Pirates kicked off the game with Ta'Sheanne Armstrong knocking down a three and PSC held an 18-16 lead at the end of the first quarter. Armstrong stayed hot in the second quarter and helped extend the Lady Pirate lead to as much as seven points before TCC went on a streak and cruised into halftime ahead 41-36. 

At one point in the third the Eagles were up by eight when Armstrong drilled a three-pointer to spark a 15-2 run and give the Lady Pirates a 53-48 lead. Unfortunately the offense cooled off the last four minutes of the quarter and TCC was able to go up by one (54-53) as the teams headed into the fourth quarter.  

Nia Johnson got into the three-point action as she drained one to open the fourth, but TCC responded with 11 unanswered points to take a 65-56 lead. The Lady Pirate defense locked in and held the Eagles to only three buckets for the remainder of the game. PSC chipped away at the lead and found themselves down by two with no timeouts and thirty-five seconds left in the game. Mylashia Yancey stepped up and hit a jump shot to tie the game at 69. The Eagles immediately inbounded the ball and went coast-to-coast and Juliunn Redmond knocked down a 15-footer at the buzzer to give TCC the victory.

Armstrong was the leading scorer for the Lady Pirates as she finished with 14 points in the game. PSC had four other players score in double figures in the game: Ahyiona Vason (13 pts.), Naterria Luster (12 pts.), Nia Johnson (11 pts.) and Kaloni Pryear (11 pts.). Luster was also the leading rebounder as she pulled down eight boards. 

The Lady Pirates end the season with an overall record of 18-10 and Panhandle record of 2-10.
