The Lady Pirates traveled to Coastal Alabama-North on Tuesday evening and downed the Eagles 76-58.
Pensacola State took a 1-point lead into halftime before coming out and forcing turnovers while dominating the boards to pull away for the victory. Daja Woodard led the way by recording her first double-double of the season with 25 points and 15 rebounds. The Lady Pirates also had three more scorers reach double figures in the game (Kailya Jackson - 13, Kaiya Burnett - 12 and Brandi Washington 10).
The Lady Pirates have a 10 day break before they head to Jacksonville and Gainesville to take on Florida State College of Jacksonville and Santa Fe College.
The next home game for Pensacola State will be a doubleheader with the men on Tuesday, November 20th when they take on Coastal Alabama-North again. Tipoff for the ladies is scheduled for 5:30 pm.
