Poor shooting continued to plague the Pensacola State (PSC) women's basketball team in their 91-56 loss to Tallahassee Community College on Saturday.
The Eagles controlled the game from the tip and ran out to a 19-9 lead after the first quarter. The shots just would not fall for the Lady Pirates and they found themselves down 41-20 at halftime and were not able to overcome the deficit.
A bright spot on offense for PSC was Brandi Washington as she scored a season high 29 points with the help of shooting 6-of-9 from 3-point range. Xerina Walker led the team in rebounding with seven on the night.
Pensacola State will start their second round of conference play on Wednesday when they host no. 1 Northwest Florida State at 5:30 pm.
