Lady Pirates Top Tallahassee

In their final home game of the 2024 campaign, the No. 14 Pensacola State Pirates cruised to a 79-34 victory against the Eagles of Tallahassee Community College.

The Pirate defense was stifling, allowing only eight TCC points in the entire first half. PSC would lead 31-8 at the break.

In the second half, PSC continued to apply pressure and extended the lead to 45 before the final horn.

Tanita Swift led the Pirates in scoring with 22. Jaida McDonald recorded another double-double performance with 16 points and 14 boards on the night. To round out the scoring for the Pirates, Nataya Lockett added 16, Gabriela Bendeck-Giron 12, Aureonia Benson 10, and Katiya Casey netted three.

Za'Naria Robinson led the Eagles with 17 points and 12 rebounds.

Pensacola State (21-7) will travel to Northwest Florida State (21-3) on February 28, 2024, for the 2024 regular season finale.
