Pensacola Loses Late Lead in Loss to Delgado 8-7

A walk-off left Pensacola (8-4) on the wrong side of an 8-7 defeat to Delgado on Saturday. The game was tied at sevenwith Delgado batting in the bottom of the seventhwhen an infield error scored the game winning run. 

Pensacola lost despite out-hitting Delgado 14 to 7. The Pirates got on the board in the second inning with four runs. Xavier Bussey singled on a 1-0 pitch scoring Ryan Brewer from third base. Fausto Lopez would drive in two with a single back up the middle. Sean Ross would drive in Fausto Lopez with a single to ceneter. The Pirates would increase their lead to 7-2 but would give up 5 runs in the bottom of the fifth. 

Jake Sweeney was on the hill for Pensacola. He went fourand two-thirds innings, aloowing six runs on three hits and struck out seven. Tyson Ellis would take the loss despite striking out 5 in two innings of work. 

Fuasto Lopez (3-4,2R, 3RBI's) and Luke Coker(3-4,2R,1RBI) would lead PSC offensively. 

The Pirates play a double header in New Orleans on Saturday with the first game starting at 11:00 vs Bryant and Stratton.
