Former Pirate Wilfredo Alvarez helps Florida Atlantic reach an NCAA post season berth for the fourth time in five years. FAU would go 1-2 on the weekend before being knocked out by the host team Georgia Bulldogs. Alvarez  batted .375 with a double and two RBI's in the Athens regional over the weekend. The junior shortstop would finish the year with a .320 batting average, 8 doubles, 30 runs scored and 21 RBI's for the Owls.
