Head Coach Bryan Lewallyn on what it means for him to win a conference championship , "To win the conference championship at my alma mater was a great experience. This is special in a lot of ways but in particular because of the Pensacola connection. Myself, Thomas Huston and Logan Williamson all former Pirates on the coaching staff and then obviously Drew LaBounty and his ties to the rich baseball history of Pensacola just make it a little sweeter. Brandon Schrepf, Ty Kirchharr, Seth Killam, Jeffrey Wilson and Darrien McDowell all from the Pensacola area having a huge impact on Pensacola baseball is awesome! The players and the coaching staff did a tremendous job of preparing everyday. I am so proud of the work the guys put in and their ability to persevere and overcome adversity all year long. They certainly earned every bit of success they achieved, all the credit goes to our players and assistant coaches. The team has built a culture and set a standard here at PSC, I thoroughly enjoyed watching this transformation and being a part of this team. We look forward to building off this in the future".
Brandon Schrepf, graduate of Gulf Breeze High School, on winning the conference championship, "We worked extremely hard all year, and for all that hard work to result in a conference championship was very gratifying. For me it meant a lot to be able to bring a championship to Pensacola a place where I grew up. These are memories that I will take with me forever."
This marks the first time Pensacola State has won the conference since 2008.
