Pensacola State College opended its 2018-19 basketball season with a win over Action Sports Academy 85-62. The Pirates had five players in double figures, led by Yeikson Montero's double/double of 18 points, 14 rebounds, 2 assists, and three steals. PHS grad Shawndarius Cowart had 16 points, 7 rebounds, and 8 assists. Carlos Rosario added 16 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 blocks. Mike McDougal finished with 10 points and 5 assist. Mcleon Charles also chipped in with 10 points, 2 blocks, and 2 steals.

The Pirates take on Coastal Alabama South at 7:30 tonight.
