Carlos Rosario Signs With McNeese State

Pensacola State forward Carlos Rosario has committed to McNeese State and coach Heath Schroyer to continue his basketball career. Coach Schoyer has the program moving in the right direction as the Cowboys qualified for the Southland Tournament this season. Carlos should have the opportunity to produce quality minutes next season.

Rosario came to Pensacola from the Dominican Republic as part of the 2018 recruiting class. In his first season with the Pirates, Carlos would give Pensacola a boost off the bench scoring 8 points and grabbing 4 rebounds a game. In 2019, Carlos would sustain a significant injury that would end his season after only five games.

Rosario would come back healthy for the 2020 season and would be a monumental piece to PSC's 18-11 record. Carlos would lead Pensacola with 15 points per game and grab 7 rebounds a game. He would go on to earn 1st Team All-Panhandle Conference honors.

Rosario becomes the second Pirate to sign with a Division-1 program joining Shawndarius Cowart, who signed with Hofstra.
