PSC Men's Basketball Beats #2 Tallahassee on the Road

Pensacola State Men's Basketball team goes on the road to defeat the #2 team in the country Tallahassee Community College. Pensacola handed Tallahassee their first loss of the year bringing them to 8-1 overall and 3-1 in Panhandle Conference play. PSC, now 3-5 overall and 2-2 in Panhandle Conference play, took a 9-point lead into the half behind their defense allowing only 26 points. With a little under 6:30 left in the game PSC held an 11-point lead before Tallahassee rallied to take a 72-70 lead with under two minutes left. Back to back threes from Josh Williams and Brett Thompson made it a 76-72 and the Pirates would not let go of the lead with the game ending 76-73.

 

Josh Williams finished with a game high 19 points and added 3 steals and 3 rebounds. Terry Durham had 16 points with 4 rebounds while leading the team with 5 assists. Dexter McKenzie finished with 12 points and Matheus Silveira led the team with 7 rebounds.

 

PSC will play Wednesday at Northwest Florida State College and the next home game will be this Saturday, February 20th, against Chipola starting at 7:30 pm.
