The Pirates hit the road this past weekend to St. Petersburg, Florida where they went 2-0 picking up both wins by double digits.
In their first outing, a balanced scoring effort helped the Pirates defeat Hillsborough College 75-65, having five players finish in double digits.
Truth Harris led the way with 15 points and five assists. Justin Moore contributed 13 points, going 3-for-3 from the 3-point line, while Zondrick Garrett and Naim Miller contributed 12 points each. Jarveil Gainey finished with 11 points and a team high seven rebounds.
In their second game, another balanced scoring effort helped Pensacola defeat St. Petersburg College 73-61. The Pirates got off to a hot start and went into the locker room at halftime with a 39-24 lead.
St. Petersburg went on a run in the second half, but the Pirates were able to hang on for the win. The Pirates had three players finish in double digits with Zondrick Garrett leading the way with 18 points. Truth Harris finished with 16 points and five assists while Jarveil Gainey finished with 11 points.
The Pirates are on a three game win streak and hope to keep that streak going as they hit the road on Tuesday, November 16th to take on Coastal Alabama-North.
