The Pirates opened against Ranger College and dropped a thrilling overtime game 79-75. Harry Santiago was one rebound shy of a triple-double as he collected 17 points, 10 assists and nine rebounds. Jarveil Gainey came off the bench to score a team high 18 points while Zondrick Garrett added 17 points and Roderick Coffee III had 10.
On Tuesday, PSC lost another heartbreaker in overtime falling to Jones College 64-61. Nieagell Sturkey recorded a double-double with 12 points and 13 rebounds. Jarveil Gainey again was the leading scorer with 15 points while Roderick Coffee III added 13 points.
Pensacola ended the Thanksgiving Classic with a win against Lamar State Port Arthur 62-49. Zondrick Garrett booked a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Roderick Coffee III added 13 points and eight rebounds, and Brendan Terry chipped in with 12 points. Nieagell Sturkey dominated the glass with 12 rebounds.
The Pirates next game will be on the road against Monroe College December 2nd at 5:00 PM in Niceville, Florida.
