Pirates Move to 8-2 Record

In the second matchup of the PSC Thanksgiving Classic, Jones County and the Pirates fought back and forth the whole game and PSC ended up falling 61-58.

Pensacola had a chance to send the game to overtime on their last possession, but Colin Howells' 3-point attempt rimmed out as the buzzer went off.

Elijah Wyche led the Pirates with 18 points while Enmanuel Ferreras had 14 and Colin Howells contributed 10 off the bench. Brendan Terry pulled down a game high 11 rebounds.

The charity stripe proved to be a difference maker as PSC only shot 61.1% with 18 attempts while Jones sunk 75% with 32 attempts.

The Pirates bounced back the next day with a 73-63 win over Coastal Alabama-South. Pensacola showed off a balanced scoring attack with five players recording double figures. Jalen Keago led the way with 19, Elijah Wyche had 15, Brendan Terry added 12, Dylan Colon contributed 11 and Enmanuel Ferreras rounded it out with 10.

Improvement from the free throw line was shown as the team shot 85% on 20 attempts.

PSC will head to Gainesville this weekend for the Florida JUCO Shootout. On Saturday, the Pirates will take on Santa Fe at 11:00 am CST. They will be early risers again on Sunday when they face Miami Dade at 11:00 am CST.
