The Pensacola State softball team will open the 2019 softball season at the JUCO Kickoff Classic in Clearwater, FL this weekend. Throughout the season there will be player features posted and for opening weekend we will be going on deck with Alexis Guzman.

Alexis is a sophomore, catcher from Miramar, FL and was the only Pirate named 1st Team All-Panhandle last season. She batted .327 with 26 RBI's and 4 home runs in her freshman campaign.

Javier Baez because we're both Puerto Rican and he seems cool. My maternal Grandpa because he's my #1 fan and Luke Combs because I love some country music.

What are your hobbies?

Fishing, going to the beach and listening to music

My mom because I've never met someone as strong as her.

Buy my parents a house.
