Pensacola State softball sophomores Madison Myers and Kat McGlamry have both signed with Alabama State University.
Myers is a speedy slapper from Brownsville, Tennessee who had returned to prowling the outfield this season after primarily playing shortstop as a freshman.
In her freshman campaign, Myers batted .379 and stole 41 bases which was good enough to be ranked 11th nationally. She was named to the All-Panhandle Conference First Team.
Before this season was interrupted due to COVID-19 she was leading the team with a .557 batting average (12th nationally) and had swiped 20 bases (15th nationally).
McGlamry is a catcher from Crawfordville, Florida. As a freshman she appeared in 38 games and batted .192 with seven runs batted in (RBI). McGlamry is not only a leader on the field, but also in the classroom as she collected NJCAA All-Academic Third Team honors in addition to being named to the FCSAA and Panhandle Conference All-Academic teams.
This season she was batting at a .333 clip and had driven in four RBI's.
Located in Montgomery, Alabama, the NCAA Division I Hornets compete in the Southwestern Athletic Conference. They are led by Head Coach Todd Bradley who took over the helm in 2019. Bradley has a wealth of experience under his belt as he has coached 19 years, including 15 of those as a head coach.
