Whatman and Poitevin Receive Awards

Pensacola State sophomore, third baseman Shaylan Whatman was named FCSAA First Team All-State.

Whatman played stellar defense at the hot corner and batted .368 with 10 homeruns and 31 runs batted in this season. She was a two-year starter who also reps a 4.0 GPA in the classroom.

Sophomore, first baseman Monique Poitevin to the FCSAA All-Tournament Team for her performance at the State Tournament. 

In the extra inning game against Santa Fe, Poitevin was 2-for-4 with a double and RBI to go along with a strong outing against Florida Southwestern when she was 2-for-3 with a double, homerun and RBI.
