Beauchaine and Hood Win Region 8 Awards

Sophomore pitcher Avery Beauchaine was named the Region 8 Pitcher of the Week while her freshman teammate Georgia Hood was selected as the Player of the Week.

Beauchaine threw a no-hitter against Bryant & Stratton (VA) on Saturday. She struck out five batter in five innings while picking up her second win of the season. So far this season Beauchaine has not allowed a hit or run.

Georgia Hood batted a scorching .857 last weekend with four RBI's, a double and a triple. She also picked up her first save on the season in the win over Coastal Alabama - South. On the season Hood is hitting .722 with 17 RBI's, five doubles, a triple and two home runs.
