Softball Runs Away with Two

The Pensacola State softball team dominated John A. Logan on Friday finished off both games in five innings.

In the first game the Pirates wasted no time and batted around in the first inning while scoring seven runs. They added two more in the second and the final score was 9-0.

Georgia Hood was a perfect 2-for-2 with a walk in the game while Skylar Buzbee went 2-for-3 with a double and three RBI. Kylee Crowder showed off her power again with a 3-run home run.

Lydia Drake picked up her first win of the season throwing a complete game striking out eight while only allowing two hits.

The offense stayed hot in the second game and the Pirates won 11-3 in five innings.

Susanna Soldi, Georgia Hood and Hannah Waltman were all 2-for-3 with Soldi stroking her second double of the day. Samantha Ladowksi was 1-for-2 with a walk and a bases clearing triple. Susanna Soldi and Brianna Duggins each collected two RBI's.

Madison Sabo picked up her second win of the season throwing three innings, she only allowed one hit and no earned runs. Presley Williams closed out the game going two innings with one hit given up and struck out three.

The Pirates will travel to Coastal Alabama-East on Friday, February 10th to play a doubleheader starting at 12:00 pm.
