Hood Named 1st Team NJCAA All-American

Pensacola State first baseman Georgia Hood has been selected as a 1st Team NJCAA All-American.

The sophomore standout had a sterling season at the plate for the Pirates. She led the team with a .459 batting average and an eye popping .932 slugging percentage. Hood doubled her home run output from last season by collecting 18 this year and also drove in 65 RBI. She reached base safely in all but three games this season. 

This is the final accolade added to her outstanding resume. Hood was named State Player of the Year and Panhandle Player of the Year twice. She is a two-time NJCAA All-American as well as NFCA All-American.
