Kylee Crowder has been named the Region 8 Player of the Week.

The sophomore from Belleville, IL batted .643 (9-for-14) with five runs scored, four double, one triple, one home run and 10 RBI in five games. The third baseman hit safely in each game and had multiple hits and multiple RBI's in three of the last four games. She finished the week going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI against Oakland.

Currently she is batting .336 overall with an on base percentage of .534. Crowder leads the Pirates with 22 RBI and has hit six home runs. So far this season 80% of her hits have been for extra bases.
