PSC 1 Gulf Coast 5
The Pirate softball team dropped their first game of the final round of Panhandle play on Saturday.
It was scoreless until the bottom of the fourth when the Commodores strung together five hits to go up 5-0.
Pensacola scored their only run of the game in the top of the fifth when Hannah Waltman singled and later scored on a single from Marina Goins. On the day PSC left a whopping 12 runners on base.
Hannah Waltman was a perfect 3-for-3 in the game with a run scored while Kasey Markusic was 2-for-4 and Kylee Crowder drew three walks.
Gabriella Lindsey got the start and threw 3.1 innings allowing only four hits and two runs. Kylie Jarman closed the game and had a strong performance giving up no runs and only two hits.
Pensacola has a bye on Tuesday and will host Chipola on Thursday, April 25th at 4:00 pm. There will be a tailgate with free food and drinks for PSC students starting at 3:30 pm.
