Burnett and Polk Named All-Panhandle

Pensacola State women's basketball placed two players on the All-Panhandle Conference basketball teams.

Kaiya Burnett was a first-team selection while ZaMaria Polk was named to the second-team.

Burnett is a sophomore, guard from Trenton, New Jersey and led the Lady Pirates in scoring this season while averaging 17 points in conference play. Her highest scoring game this season was against Daytona State when she accumulated 32 points in a win. Burnett scored in double figures in 12 out of 13 Panhandle games. 

Polk, also a sophomore, is a forward from Detroit, Michigan. She averaged a double-double in conference play with 10.7 points per game and 10.2 rebounds. Her highest scoring game in the season was against Coastal Alabama-North with 24 points. Polk pulled down a season high 23 rebounds in a win over Tallahassee on January 15th.
