Lady Pirates Open Season with Two Wins
The Pensacola State women's basketball team kicked off the season on Monday in Marianna, Florida where they faced East Georgia State College and secured a 71-56 win.

The Pensacola State women's basketball team kicked off the season on Monday in Marianna, Florida where they faced East Georgia State College and secured a 71-56 win.
Douthsine Prien registered a double-double to start the campaign off strong. The sophomore from Boynton Beach, FL scored a team high 18 points and pulled down a team high 14 rebounds, six of which were offensive.
Freshman Kristin Williams was right behind in the scoring column with 15 points.
The Lady Pirates returned to Marianna on Tuesday and dominated Denmark Tech in a 109-40 win.
Pensacola had six players record double digits in scoring with Kristin Williams leading the way with 19 points. Williams was hot from beyond the arc and knocked down five three-pointers in the game.
Sophomore, forward Tai'Sheka Porchia chipped in 15 points, Aniyah Brown added 13 points, freshman Ja'Vina Jackson had 12 points and sophomore Caliana Fenceroy finished with 10 points.
Redshirt freshman, Aryana Naylor secured her first double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds.
Pensacola will be back in action on Friday and Saturday when they head down to Melbourne, Florida to face Florida State College Jacksonville and Miami Dade.
