Lady Pirates Extend Win Streak to 11-0

The Lady Pirates took on the North Arkansas Pioneers on Friday and came away with a 68-45.

Early on in the game Pensacola exploded on offense, outscoring their opponents 23-2 in the first quarter. The Lady Pirates were looking like a well-oiled machine as they capitalized in transition leading the Pioneers 36-10 at the half. 

The Pioneers came out strong from the break, going shot for shot with the Lady Pirates much through the second half. The Pirates offense was able to ward off the Pioneers and extend their win streak to 11-0 on the year. 

Tai'Sheka Porchia led the team with 19 points and nabbed six rebounds. Following close behind was Krisitin Willams with 16 points and Khadija Chambless with 10 points respectively. 

Danielle Luckey had a season high seven rebounds and Douthshine Prien snuck in five steals as well as four rebounds. 

Pensacola State will be back in action December 30th and 31st in Lake Charles, Louisiana to take on Kilgore Community College and Hill College both at 5:00 pm.
