The no. 16 ranked Lady Pirates came out ready to play at Chipola on Saturday and was able to topple the no. 6 team in the nation.
Pensacola jumped out to a 32-17 lead in the first half, but Chipola collected themselves at halftime and came out roaring.
The second half proved to be a bit sloppy for the Lady Pirates, but they perseveered and were able to overcome 28 turnovers. Despite playing in the hostile, away environment the Lady Pirates prevailed 59-50.
Tai'Sheka Porchia led PSC with 14 points and 13 rebounds in the game. Kristin Williams joined her in double digits scoring with 11 points and Douthshine Prien chipped in eight point and nine rebounds.
On Wednesday, January 12th Pensacola will host Tallahassee at 5:30 pm.
