Porchia Named Player of the Week

Sophomore, forward Tai'Sheka Porchia was named the Region 8 Player of the Week for her efforts in the Lady Pirates two conference wins last week.

In the win over Gulf Coast Porchia recorded a double-double with a team high 17 points and team high 14 rebounds.

She followed that strong performance with another double-double in a big win over no. 6 ranked Chipola. Porchia led all scorers with 16 points and pulled down a stellar 13 rebounds.

Currently, Porchia is averaging 13.3 points per game and is just shy of averaging a double-double with 9.6 rebounds per game.
