Lady Pirates Battle with Chipola

The Pensacola State women's basketball team battled with Chipola on Wednesday night and came up short of victory.

Both teams got off to a slow start offensively in the first quarter and the score was tied 7-7 going into the second quarter.

The Lady Pirates found some momentum and held a 31-21 lead at halftime. They held a slim 49-46 led as the final quarter got started.

Chipola made a push in the final minutes to pull out the 64-61 win. 

Ja'miyah Bryant led the PSC offense with 19 points and secured a double-double by adding 12 rebounds. Douthshine Prien chipped in 16 points while Nataya Lockett scored 13. 

Pensacola will travel to Tallahassee on Saturday, February 18th to face off with the Eagles.
