Jaida McDonald has been named the Region 8 and NJCAA Player of the Week for her outstanding performance last week. The freshman from Dallas, Texas had a stellar week and recorded three double-double's in PSC's three wins.

She averaged 18.3 points and 12.3 rebounds while shooting 53.2 percent from the field. McDonald recorded a season high 21 points in a win over Mississippi Gulf Coast.

The Lady Pirates will be back in action on Friday, December 8^th when they host Southern Union at 3:30 pm.
