The Pirates were no match for no. 1 Northwest Florida State on Wednesday January 24, 2024. Traveling without the services of the teams second leader scorer and rebounder, Tanita Swift at 16.4 points and 5.7 rebounds, the six available Pirates fell 66-42 to the Raiders.

The Pirates scoring woes continued as they managed just 1 for 27 shooting in the first half and 14 for 60 for the contest. An ice-cold start led to PSC trailing 35-6 at the halftime.

The second half of play favored the Pirates as they were able to outscore the Raiders 36-31; however, it would not be enough to overcome the 29-point halftime deficit.

Katiya Casey and Nataya Lockett were the only Pirates in double figures with 14 points each. Lockett added seven rebounds while Jaida McDonald also grabbed seven boards.

Mya Pierfax led NWF with 15 points.

The Pirates will travel to Panama City Beach, Florida on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, for a second matchup with Gulf Coast State College.
