The no. 15 Pensacola State Pirates were too much for the Eagles of Tallahassee Community College on Wednesday, February 7th. The Pirates, having previously defeated the Eagles by a 42-point margin on January 20th, 2024, were relentless in last nights contest on their way to a 107-45 thrashing of the Eagles.
TCC led 3-0 at the 8:20 mark in the first period, but it would be all Pirates for the remaining 38 minutes of the contest. The Pirates forced 34 turnovers and shot 50.7 percent from the field in the dismantling of the Eagles.
Nataya Lockett, coming off of a 24-point performance against Chipola, increased her scoring efforts with 26 on the night. Gabriela Bendeck-Giron netted 19 while Tanita Swift added 18 points and eight boards. Jaida McDonald and Audreonia Benson contributed double-digit scoring with 16 and 15 respectively.
Za'Naria Robinson led TCC with 10 points in the contest.
The no. 15 Pirates, now 19-5 on the season, will host no. 3 Northwest Florida State at Hartsell Arena on February 14th.
