Lady Pirates Close Out Year With Wins
Lady Pirates ended 2024 with a thrilling overtime victory against Miami Dade and also added a win against Calhoun College.

Pensacola State 76 Miami-Dade 74
On the opening night of the Pensacola State New Year's Classic, the Lady Pirates defeated the Miami-Dade Sharks 76-74 in an overtime thriller.
With only 31.4 seconds remaining, the Pensacola trailed 65-63. On their final possession of regulation, the Pirates were able to chase down a failed shot attempt by Jaida McDonald which led to Audreonia Benson being fouled on a driving shot attempt with 12.2 seconds left to play. Benson was able to convert both free-throw attempts to knot the game at 65 and force overtime. The Lady Pirates were able to outlast the Sharks in the additional frame to secure the 2-point victory.
Jaida McDonald led PSC with 17 points and nine boards. Audreonia Benson contributed 15 while Akeelah Bryan and Talia Kemp added 12 and 10 points, respectively.
Jazmyne Bynum was the games leading scorer with 28 points for the Sharks. Shameir Quimby and Cleaira Peterson added 17 and 15 points for Miami-Dade.
Pensacola State 58 Calhoun College 45
Pensacola State swept their inaugural New Year's Classic to close out 2024 and extended their current win-streak to eight games.
In their final contest of 2024, the Lady Pirates took down Calhoun College 58-45.
Talia Kemp led three Lady Pirates in double figures with 17 points. Katiya Casey had 10 while Jaida McDonald added another 10 with 14 rebounds.
Jamya Griffin paced the Warhawks with 15 points.
