The Pirates fell short in another dramatic Panhandle Conference matchup at No. 2 Northwest Florida State.
Pensacola owned possession and a chance to tie the contest with 4.2 seconds remaining in regulation. A contested attempt by Talia Kemp was too strong and the Raiders were able to secure the rebound and the 58-56 victory over the Pirates.
Jaida McDonald had another solid outing for the Pirates logging 17 points and nine rebounds. Audreonia Benson joined McDonald in double figures with 12 points.
Mekhia Chase had a game-high 22 points while Kyla McBride added 13 for the Raiders.
