Amaya Bazemore

Why did you choose PSC?

I chose PSC because of how disciplined and motivated the team is. All the girls are really nice and the campus is a perfect spot from home.

Who do you look to for motivation?

I usually motivate myself thinking of how I can help the team, but it is nice when the team cheers me on when I am struggling.

What do you bring to the team?

I bring energy to the team, I love being loud and getting excited every play.

Do you have any goals for your freshman season?

My goal as a freshman is to work on my eye work while blocking, practice jump serving and passing.

What is one thing you look forward to this season?

I am looking forward to game days! They make me so hype and happy knowing the team can put all of our hard work into action.

Rachel Davis

Davis is a 5'2 defensive specialist from Indianapolis, Indiana where she attended Southport High School. This past season she was a team captain who earned the Heart Award and was named MVP.

Why did you choose PSC?

I chose PSC because I could tell this was a very warm and welcoming environment before I stepped on the court. Everyone around campus was very nice and seemed like they enjoyed going here. Then once I was able to meet the team, I just knew it was a good fit because everyone was welcoming and kind as soon as I came in and it felt right.

Who do you look to for motivation?  Do you have a role model?

I look to my grandpa for motivation because he never gave up and fought the battle until he couldn't anymore. I like to keep that same mindset in life, and in matches as well, give it your all until you can't anymore.

What do you bring to the team?

Something I have always been told by coaches that I bring to the team is leadership and positivity. I hold my teammates accountable, but in an uplifting and positive way.
