Volleyball Finalizes 2024 Roster
Head Coach Patricia Gandolfo announced the completion of Pensacola State's 2024 roster, with the addition of two more players. Both of the athletes come from out of state, bringing in new talent to PSC's team.
Joining the team is Danielle Lee, a 5'11" middle hitter from Ouachita Parish High School in Monroe, LA. Lee just finished her final season of travel ball at Rocketfuel Volleyball Club. When she arrives at PSC, she intends to pursue a degree in the field of Social Marketing.
Lee says, "I chose Pensacola State College because I loved the environment and feel. It has such a variety of things you can do on campus and off. I also love the coaches as I know that they will push me to be my best. At Pensacola State College, I know that I will do nothing but thrive."
Brunna Marinari, is a 5'6" setter, transfer from Central Arizona College. Marinari is originally from Brazil and intends to work towards a degree in Nutrition or Physiotherapy while at PSC.
Marinari says, "I chose PSC because it's a place where I can see myself growing up in volleyball and academic life. The structure of the college seems to be very good and welcoming, which is what I've been looking for since I'm in another country."
"I am super excited to bring Danielle and Brunna to join our Pirate family," Gandolfo said. "Both are phenomenal players, and even better people. I am looking forward to helping them accomplish their goals while playing at PSC, and see their impact on our program."
The Pirates look forward to opening their 2024 season, August 23-24 in Rockford, IL for the Opening Weekend Tournament hosted by Des Moines Area Community College. Volleyball will then return home for their annual Pensacola State Invitational on August 30-31.
