Pensacola State 0 Gulf Coast 3 (13-25, 12-25, 15-25)

The Pirates (11-4, 5-2 SLC) fought to stay with the conference leading and no. 8 nationally ranked Commodores, but could not ever find their rhythm.

PSC lost the battle in the attacking category, as they hit .000, while Gulf Coast kept a solid offensive average of .258, with 34 kills. Pensacola combatted the Commodores' attacks with 51 digs, but struggled to execute at the net.

The no. 9 ranked Pirates have the weekend to digest the setback before their next trio of matches on the road. Pensacola will make their way to South Florida State, Indian River State and Palm Beach State, September 26-28.
