On Friday, September 18th the Women's Cross Country team raced in Huntsville, Alabama amongst 42 other teams from Alabama, Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi and Tennessee.
Jacksonville State University hosted at the John Hunt Cross Country Park, which will be the site of the 2023 NJCAA National Championship. Teams came from far to test out this beautiful course and were not disappointed. With a reputation as one of the best courses in the country, the team all shaved a full minute off their times from the previous week.
Our team leader was captain, Emmalei Miller, with a 24:36 finish. Close behind with 25:02 and 25:11 were Kaydee Cook and Madyson Sutherlin, respectively. Bailey Scott finished close to the pack with a 26:59.
The Pirates race again this Friday at the 2023 Argonaut Innovational hosted by University of West Florida. The women's race begins at 8:15am on the UWF Cross Country Course.
