Pensacola State College drew a crowd locally as they ran at the UWF Argonaut Invitational on Friday, September 22nd. Facing tough teams from Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Louisiana, and South Carolina the Pirates finished sixth.
The tough trails of the UWF cross country course were familiar territory for our team. Our top finishers were Christine Clark finishing in 25:03, followed by Emmalei Miller at 26:49 and Kaydee Cook at 26:55.
An exciting group race off with several runners included Madyson Sutherlin finishing at 27:40 and Jennifer Brakebill at 27:41. Bailey Scott finished next with a time of 28:03 followed by Laura Towles at 31:54. Trinity Maracle rounded out the team coming in at 33:10.
The race was also locally supported by the Krewe of Vixens as they provided compression socks for the team as part of their ovarian cancer awareness campaign. The Krewe of Pirates came out to show support and cheered for our PSC Pirates, we greatly appreciated the local support.
